Vintage – Original Enamel sign for Public Telephone Call Office (Approximately 69cm x 34.5cm) Heavy quality, double sided’Public Telephone’ sign. These original enamel-on-metal signs are increasingly hard to get hold off and this is a very unique one. Characteristically rusted yet deeply coloured this sign is the dream of any vintage lover! It’s clearly lived a life or indeed died as it certainly looks like it’s been buried maybe at some point???? Being Double Sided – One side is visibly more presentable than the other – but both still legible Has been rust treated to lessen the potential of further losses to the outer edges – The enamel has losses and faded in areas Original fixing holes are lost through rusting out However a lot of the white enamel borders still remain It has chips and a slight central bow – not sitting quite flat I personally think it’s one of the nicest I’ve seen Despite its obvious flaws Imagine this sign on your wall above a gorgeous vintage telephone This item is a vintage enamel sign for a Public Telephone Call Office, likely used in the United Kingdom or Commonwealth countries.
