Vintage enamel sign advertising the National Building Society, which was one of the earliest building societies formed in England. This sign likely dates from the 1930’s, as there was no production during the war years, and the National BS merged with the Abbey BS in 1944, to form the Abbey National. In remarkably good condition with obvious losses around the edge at the mounting screw holes, but still very solid (and heavy) with a lovely clear patina. Measures 40in x 28in. Please look carefully at the photos as they form part of the condition description, and feel free to ask for additional photos.
