For sale is a wonderful and very rare early R Whites enamel advertising sign. It features a wonderful patinaed blue enamel that has lovely contrasting shades throughout. This sign is incredibly rare, and I’ve only ever seen a couple of these offered for sale. This sign is originally green with a yellow pictorial lemon. It has gained a fabulous, unique patina, which has faded to this depth of blue colour. The first I’ve seen and it displays beautifully. There is a fair bit of wear, as you can see, but with this type of sign and with the lovely colour change, it adds to its characterful appeal. The Rarity out ways the Condition, in my opinion.
