An original Sphinx Benzin double sided bracket enamel sign dating from the 1920’s. Typically from the early period, it’s made using a heavy grade metal, this example measures 40cm high by 60cm across. The sign is in good overall condition with some small spots of enamel loss. The bracket flange remains untouched and is almost as good as new still retaining it’s enamel on the inner face. With no restoration or touch ups the colours remains bright. The sign would benefit from a good deep polish. Although of American origin, we had Vacuum Oils here from the early 1900’s. It’s actually a rare sign today even back in the USA.
