Vintage “bread is the cheapest and best food” enamel sign. I haven’t been able to track down an exact history for this, but would say it’s probably ministry related, and possibly to do with rationing – encouraging people to stick to bread & singing its praises. In good condition for its age, with some chipping to the enamel and a slight kink down one edge, general scratching to the enamel as to be expected. Presents really well with all of the text visible. Measures 46cm by 61cm.
