A huge antique enamel advertising sign for Wills Gold Flake. An exceptional example of this iconic sign in the less common larger size, featuring some fantastic punchy colours & a great gloss. Produced from 1901 onwards by W D & H O Wills which was part of The Imperial Tobacco Company, Wills Gold Flake was one of the most advertised brands of the 20th century. Early to mid 20th century. H 152 x W 91 cm. Wear commensurate with age, excellent overall with a few minor chips & light loss to the lower corners. One of the best I’ve seen, particularly in this larger size. The sign currently has two lengths of timber in place along the rear edges to keep it flat which can be removed for a flush wall mount. Any questions, please do ask.
