This is a fabulous and original vintage Ogden’s St Bruno Flake enamel sign. The colours are as bright and vibrant as the day they were created and the losses on the outer edges do not detract from the typography in any way – they add character and authenticity. The large picture-sized sign (76cms x 45.5cms) is perfect for an interior domestic setting: big enough to be handsome and striking but not too big to dominate a room. I imagine it was displayed outside a small tabacconist’s shop rather than the whoppers you see on big blank outside walls (on end terraces and the like). Here we have a superb original Enamel Sign “Aladdin Pink Paraffin”. Dates from the 1950’s/1960’s. A superb ORIGINAL sign from a long time collection. It measures 21 inches x 14 inches. It is a double sided / flanged sign. It is in superb condition. Bright and shiny with no fading whatsoever. There is some chipping and minor rusting to the edges only. A vintage advertising sign for Ogdens red breast flake tobacco. You dont see many Ogdens signs, particularly not in such good condition as this one, its presented in a nice oak frame, as can be seen from the back there is some edge corrosion which is hidden by the framing so not visible from the front.
