Welcome to Room 8 Interiors! Specialising in interesting vintage, antique & very often unique period items including lighting, furniture, advertising & decorative pieces. A late Victorian advertising stick stand. An exceptionally rare surviving piece of advertising, this cast iron stick stand would have been fixed to a wall outside a shop & used for cutomers to put their walking sticks & umbrellas in whilst inside. The top is adorned with a plaque advertising Sunlight Soap & the drip tray base promotes Lifebouy Soap and Royal Disinfectant, all early products produced by Lever Brothers. A wonderful piece of history that could still be used today. 74cm x 36cm x 16cm. Wear commensurate with age, good solid condition, totally unrestored & totally original, Biclam makers mark & reg number verso.
