This is an original unrestored vintage enamel Hudsons Soap Sign mounted on a painted board. It’s an unusual design and looks really good on the board but could easily be taken off as there are no permanent fixings. I’ve had it for years in my office but I’m now working from home so clearing out. It’s difficult to date these signs but they were popular in the 1930s, Hudson’s Soap was in West Bromwich and eventually taken over by the Lever Brothers. It’s got oodles of character! The sign plate is 41 1/2″ long and 11 1/2″ High. The mounting board is 1235mm L x 490mm H X 18. S are the actual item just as it is it was on my office wall for some years so been in a dry environment.

This vintage light fixture by Revere features 3 porcelain enamel shades along with a cast aluminum body and all new wiring. Each light can be tilted and rotated to point in any direction you want (see last photo). Pipe in photo is just for the picture to show an example of mount style. The back plate just comes off with a screw so you can wire them up easily to fit any length pole you have (pole mount has 2.5 inch ID). The shades show some obvious wear from decades of use so be sure to check out all the photos. 22″ accross x 16″ tall as shown with out pipe. 2.5 is the mount’s inner diameter of opening (ID) for the pipe. Lovely early Shell Motor Spirit double sided enamel sign, flange mounted to a wall, in great condition for its age. 1920s yellow with red writing. Made by Bruton, Palmers Green. No restoration, as found. Age related wear and tear, usual nibbling to edges, enamel chips etc, appears to have had a bracket steadying it/aiding its mounting to a wall, remains of which are still attached to the top corner and a slight bend both of which could be removed but the sign still displays very well.
