Vintage “Associated Motorways Booking Office” by The Imperial Enamel Company Birmingham. This enamel sign is in excellent condition having nearly 100% of its enamel intact. The edges are a bit “scruffy” and there is minor enamel loss at the fixing holes. I can find no other enamel loss. This sign is original and overall condition is excellent. It has very good gloss, good bright colour, clear complete text.. The image of the bus is complete. And clear, as is the map. It has a few minor blemishes which are not readily visible but which I mention for the sake of completeness. There is a brownish blemish near the rear wheel of the bus, there is a small mark to the right of the letter O in “motorways” and there is a small green touch in at top left corner. It has the normal minor scuffs and “flea bites” which is to be expected on an enamel of this age. This is an old enamel sign in excellent condition, not mint condition. In very good used condition an original associated motorways 1950s enamel sign, measures 30 inches by 18 inches few chips around the screw holes and edges as would be expected, see photo. Main graphics bus, map, etc superb. Been hung in my dry garage for many years now downsizing my sign collection.
