A vintage enamel sign with golfing and advertising interest. “Players Please” is the well known slogan for Players cigarettes & tobacco which has being cleverly allied to the golfers advice to replace divots. Presumably these signs were either placed on the tee of each hole or strategically around the course. The signs are green and white enamel on a heavy gauge metal plate. The metal ground spike is also of a heavy gauge and is attached simply by way of the two bolts, nuts and washers. The sign dimensions are 8″ x 6″ (Approx 20cm x 15 cm). The spike is approx 12 (approx 30 cm) in length. Evidence of age and weathering can be assessed from the images provided. The nature of enamel signs is that some further minor enamel loss will occur over time. This is the last of these signs I have had for sale. Further images can be provided on request.

If you want a specific sign please identify it by using the number in the image. I cannot guarantee that sign will be available if it sells and I have not had time to remove the image. Stunning Rare original 1950s Players Please “Caddy Cars This Way Please” Advertising Sponsorship Tin Sign. Fantastic original example great colours and graphics, lovely Patina to the sign aswell. These would have been a common sight once upon a time on your local Golf course. Notice the legs to the bottom on the sign which would have been pushed into the grass on the edge of the course. This sign is lesser seen than the mojority of other signs of the same era that have survived. Great opportunity to own a lovely Rare piece of Golfing memorabilia.
