Welcome to Room 8 Interiors! Specialising in interesting vintage, antique & very often unique period items including lighting, furniture, advertising & decorative pieces. A repurposed shop’s advertising sign, historically made into a drawer / box. A beautiful & totally unique piece of history, the old London confectioners sign cut into four pieces & fashioned into a box finished with a brass cup handle to the front. The signwriting is exceptional, as is the double shadowed gilt lettering which covers all four sides of the box. Makes a great in / out tray or desk tidy! Late 19th century / early 20th c. Dimensions: W: 42cm (16.5″)H: 16.5cm (6.5″)D: 36cm (14.2). Wear commensurate with age, good solid condition, paint all original, cuts to the timber a little rougher on one side, displays beautifully.
