A wonderful antique timber advertising sign for’Holland’s Furniture Cream’. A beautiful & rare survivor with deep v-carved & gilded lettering on thick pine. The sign would have once been part of the interior at the iconic Arighi Bianchi department store in Macclesfield which was founded in the mid 19th century & remains trading to this day. An impressive & very decorative item & a fantastic piece of history. W: 239cm (94.1). H: 30cm (11.8). D: 2cm (0.8). Wear commensurate with age in great untouched original condition with the perfect patina, old woodworm holes treated as a precaution.
