1930s-40s sterling silver brooch from Norway. Oval in shape, it features an exquisite hand-enameled design of a swan in a lake. The design is beautifully rendered and the colors are mesmerizing–I love the pastel greens and purples and the rusty oranges and browns of the autumn foliage. The back has its original tube hinge and C-catch. A stunning piece of Norwegian enamel! 925S with an unknown makers mark. Excellent condition with no damage to the enamel. Larger items may be more.
