A wonderful early vintage enamel enamel advertising sign for Fields Inks, manufactured by the Patent Enamel Company. An extreme rarity in some fantastic colours & typography, finished with a large makers mark & London address in the lower corner. A beautiful decorative piece. Fields Inks & Gums manufactured writing inks & gum during the late 19th & early 20th century & supplied their ink in coloured glass bottles or inkwells which are now very popular with bottle collectors today. Early 20th century, likely 1920’s. Around 119cm x 30cm The anglepoise lamp is not included but is available separately. Wear commensurate with age, with chips & losses detailed in the images. The sign has an area of discolouration towards the top edge as highlighted in in images, it has a bit of bow in it but a flush wall mount is achievable one screwed in place as pictured.
